Best Beer Gas Regulators from the Manufacturer UBC Group USA

It’s hard to underestimate the importance of a gas regulator. Without a properly functioning regulator, the pressure inside the CO2 (or nitrogen) tank is much too intense, which makes it really hard to dispense beer.

Gas regulators come in a number of different styles and configurations, depending on the intended use and the type of draft beer system.

The most basic variety is a primary CO2 regulator for beer gas. It helps to control the pressure that is coming out of the tank so that a single 5-lb CO2 tank can dispense up to eight 1/2 kegs. Basic primary CO2 regulators come in two different varieties:

  1. Single-gauge (measures just the dispensing pressure)
  2. Double-gauge (measures the dispensing pressure and also shows how much gas is left in the tank)

For dispensing Guinness or other nitrogen-based beers, a different kind of regulator is required - the nitrogen regulator. It works essentially the same as a CO2 regulator but features a female stem to attach to a nitrogen tank (a nitrogen converter piece can be used instead).

To dispense multiple kegs at different pressures, a secondary regulator is required. If it’s multiple kegs all at the same pressure, a distribution bar should be used. There is no such thing as the best beer tap regulator as it all comes down to the type of system that you have and the beers that you are dispensing.
